He u smokers. I was just wondering how much a pk of cigs cost where u r. Here in Mi, for a pack of marlbore its close to $5, like 4.80 something. I don't no cause i make my own. Cost me $10 a carton. That is good, but they don't agree w/me. I will have to give them up real soon:mad:

I normally try to buy ours at the Indian Smoke Shop which is $30.50 a carton for Marlboros. If not at the regular store they are $35.00. I also get coupons in the mail from Marlboro so that helps. I just got one for $5.00 off for Christmas. ;)

Average price in the uk is about £5 for 20. Thats just over 10usd

Here in NJ, Marlboros go for about $6.00 per pack. Perhaps the only place higher then that would be in an Atlantic City casino where they go for about $9.00 plus.

Man, I thought us Okies had it bad. 35.99 for Marlboro lights carton at the gas station. However, I try to stock up when I go to Lawton; they are $27 a carton there.

In Seattle a carton from the grocery store is $50+ and they're around $6 for a pack. I don't buy from the Indian Smoke Shops so I don't know how much they are there but from what I remember it's well over $30 a carton. I have a guy that delivers Carnival brand for $35 a carton, which are the only "cheap brand" that I think really tastes the same as Marlboro's.

Here in California, they tax cigs to pay for everything else.... ie: apparently someone decided that it's only the smokers that use hospital emergency rooms, so they added a tax on cigs to cover the costs. :confused::confused::confused:

And if they aren't taxing cigs, they are adding taxes to gas.... go figure.

Okay funny story you guys complain about taxes?? Holland 19% sales tax.
Funnier story, the tabaco I smoke is grown in USA if I'm well Kentucy and West Virginia. They ship the tabaco to Holland (Niemeyer in Groningen) there they cut and pack the tabaco, ship it back to my store in USA. In the store I buy it for if I'm well +/- $3.00 incl 60 cig. papers last I paid in Holland arounf $7.00.

Wow, when I stopped in '98, cigs in NYC were up to $2.40 a pack. PA cigs were $1.30 a pack. Don't know what cigs in PA are up to now, but $7 in NYC - boy have they gone up.

I havnt touched a cigarette buddy for 5 months now. Every so often, especially after a good meal, I miss having one. But I simply go over to my discus tank, and look at my discus. My tank and the discus was the deal that I made with myself not to smoke...

I went to my doctor and asked for a prescription for Chantix to help with quitting. Then, I almost gagged when I found out my HMO wont cover the purchase of even a month's supply of Chantix, and so I would have to pay close to 350 dollars for the drug. Luckily my brother had some which he did not use, so he mailed them to me. I took it only for the first week, and simply stop taking the drug, and stopped smoking altogether. Now I feel so much better, and have so much more time on my hands to do all the other things in life. But every so often, I still miss my friend of close to 20 yeras. i started smoking in college at 18, and I am now 36 years old. It's never too late to just quit this dirty and expensive habit. It's expensive to your wallet, and your health. Good luck mike

by the way, take a five dollar bill, and place in a glass jug each day for the price of an average pack of marlboro lights per day that you would have spent for cigaretts. The problem here in MI, is we can not order cigs online. We have to buy in MI. I quit for 8mo last yr, but just missed it. Don't miss it now....:( Make my own, 10.00 / carton.
