Everything seems to be going great so far. These guys are always hungry and are eating well. I've been fortunate enough to have some extra time at home over the holidays.

They're getting an average of 8 feedings a day right now. Usually, 4 feedings of Ocean Nutrition Formula One pellets, 2-3 feedings of frozen bloodworms and a feeding of frozen mysis shrimp. Occassionally they'll get a feeding of frozen brine shrimp in place of a bloodworm feeding.

They are eating two cubes of frozen bloodworms per feeding now.

I'm changing 90% of the water per day due to the heavy feeding regimen.

I'm not sure I've noticed alot of new growth, however I would say that when they arrived they ranged from 1.5" to 2" and I wouldn't guess there are any under 2" now, however I haven't actually measured them.

Here are some new pictures I just took a little bit ago:

According to Al's pictures I guess I can expect them to turn out something like these other alenquers I have:

Karen,
These alenquers from me should have less body striations than the ones you have..and more red in the fins and body..but I would think would be awesome to cross into the ones you already have...These are only F2 from wild stock...so can really add to a line, IMO. ...Then you can send me some fry to breed to mine!!!:D:D:D

Keep up the great work..

Thanks everyone. I have no idea Al what the background is on those larger alenquers I have, but will be interesting to see the differences between them and the challenge fish.

The challengers got moved to a different tank tonight. One that's less foggy because the foggy glass was annoying me. This is much better. :) However, that does not mean that my picture taking skills will improve. :D

A few have a whitish upper lip, but I'm wondering if there's just some arguing going on causing it.

Here's a few photos snapped of them after the move, you can see the white lip on a couple:

Oh and lastly, if you've been visiting the webcam site lately and seen it's down, it's now back up. I was having some issues keeping it online, hopefully they are resolved. Also, the "tripod" was out of commission. So all should be back up and running now, showing the challengers.

Don't you just love those "baby appetites" ? I was a little dissapointed when mine got to "grown" to eat like that.
When they were young, I think I could of put dynamite in there and they would of eaten it !
They look fantastic, your really doing a great job.

They look good Karen, not sure what the white lips are all about:confused: wonder if it pecked a bit hard at a heater and got burned?....fish looks to be in good health otherwise so hopefully it will go away.

Yeah I'm not sure either Paul, it's something I really just noticed last night. I thought maybe if there was some squabbling going on, lip locking and whatnot that could have caused it. Or maybe it happened in the quick transfer from tank to tank, who knows. I don't think I'll get overly concerned about it unless it lasts awhile or they start acting off.

Thanks everyone. They are eating great, although some days better than others and I think "oh they're not eating well today" but then I realize they're getting up to 8 feedings per day...I think they're doing just fine. :D I'm sure appetites wax and wane a little on occassion depending on if they are actively growing right then or not.

Seems like the white lip problem is gone today, whatever it was. Must have just had something to do with the moving last night. Either way, crisis diverted. :D

Looking good, Karen!! Funny, I just moved mine over to a longer tank so they have room to stretch. :D Seems to have helped a bit of the aggression from the "ole-timers" They were all frantically eating the BH and not squabbling over who's in who's corner trying to eat.
