My favorite discus apparently committed suicide while we were gone on a 5 day vacation. My neighbor was dropping 2 cubes of FBW 2 times a day and she wouldn't know if one was missing. So we just got home and I looked all around and couldn't find him.......then dried up on a towel behind the tank was a shriveled up guy........it's very sad to think the poor fish died that way. I've never had my discus jump, but I'm thinking the neighbor may have spooked the fish by turning on the lights when it was dark or something? Anyone know where I can get a Brown??

Man, I'm really sorry to hear that. It was a nice lookin' Brown. I don't know where to find one in your area. There's a place in Dallas that has some available on Aquabid.

I just picked up a 40 gallon that I'm setting up as a BB / Quarantine, I've got the 72 gallon healthy and the water is perfect, and I'm getting a couple of big adults around Feb 1.........At that point I should be very happy with my tank and fish!:)

I have had fish jump when spooked suddenly. I use a full hood because of it.

Why no cover on the tank? It keeps fish and water in and dust out.
