LOL!

Actually, on a raw diet they don't eat that much. And, I only have to feed them once a day... BONUS. My complaint is how they annouce their hunger and 5am! Joey is crated at night (still too young to be trusted) but, he gets quite vocal. Ike, on the other hand is a nudger! He is also very good at getting his head under the covers and sticking that cold wet nose is places that will LAUNCH you out of bed!

Great looking dogs and what bred are they?
I have a super hyper American Eskimo and drives me crazy.
Here's a photo of my crazy dog.

Thanks! They are Great Danes. Not a hyper breed! They only have short lived spurts of hyper-activity.

This is more the norm -

I wish I could get that relaxed.

Francis, you're AE is beautiful! How old is he/she?

Hi there,

Amy is going to be 6 years old this March. I love those Great Danes of yours. Thanks for the extra photos of your dogs. Are
you going to breed them?

Cheers
Francis

No, no, no... First of all, they are both male. Second, they are both neutered. Third, they are both rescues and I have no idea of their lineage.

Sorry... I'm involved with Great Dane rescue and there are just too many casual breeders out there these days. Then there are the people that are in it solely to make a profit. A legitimate breeder, one who is in it to further and maintain breed standards make very little money from breeding. I would say that 95% of all dog owners have no business having an un-altered dog. Too many bad litters and too many dogs killed in shelters.

OK, off the soapbox. I love my beasties! Rescue dogs are wonderful pets, they just seem to know that you "saved" them. Not to say that, in the future, I won't buy a pup from an ethical breeder.

Note to self... stay off the dog topic, you ALWAYS want to climb on that soapbox and people think you are a lunatic.
