i have 6 week old discus and everything seems to be fine up to 3 days ago. they seem very skitish and lost 4 2 days ago and then another 1 each day. water perameters are all perfect. They use to feed like crazy now all they do is hide behind the sponge and act nervous there are about 35 left and would like to preserve what ive got any help?

When was the last time you cleaned your filter(s). How often do you wipe the tank and what is your wc rountine on them? Also check the temp of tank.

50% day ro and wipe tanks down every time have not squeezed filters for about 2 weeks

Are you using straight RO water? You might clean your filters. Do you run any carbon?

no carbon and have been using straight ro and now starting to add 25% tap to this. thanks for all of your help. Squeezed filter and do this every change now and added some salt seem still about 10 of the 35 seem to still be dark and skittish but the rest are ready to eat again.

Keep up with that routine they should start coming around. Just don't start medicating unless you know for sure what you are treating for.
