Welcome to my humble place.
We decided to move out of the garage into a warehouse. I hope to open by the end of March. We will be expanding out stock list to carry other species of Tropical fish and your basic essential needs for keeping fish.

keep us updated. you can get great tropicals transhipped straight ffrom singsing to your door for great prices. i get good fish..and healthy and rarely a doa being transhipped.

Thanks for sharing this important step with us! We know you'll make us all proud!

They can go in a 20 gal tank. They'd do better in a larger tank with old water and old filter. Rummys are sensitive to any ammonia or nitrites.

The credit goes to my wife. The me raw wood would've been okay with me but she wanted it to look good. I have to agree with her even though it took 3 days to do and everything put on hold until it was completed.:)

I'm really lucky to have an electician friend doing all the wiring. I have to say it looks very professional compare to what i would've done.

Hi Debbie,
So sorry for not openning on time. I did not expect things to take so much time and work to get it right. Plumbing and electrical work plus waiting for the tanks to all arrive is taking longer than expected.
I have to worry about transpering the fishes from my garage to the warehouse without buying new equipment. I hope all is done by the first week of April.

I still need to order fishes and plants to stock the new tanks.

whew... too much to think about.

Dan! WOW! That is just staggering!

I LOVE the waterfall tanks! And the sitting area is GREAT...

What kind of wine and cheese will you be serving? ;)

Honestly, between that great sitting area, the waterfall tanks, the spectacular specimine tanks, and your very own (quite impressive) art on the walls, I'd be imbaressed or ashamed to walk in there without a big checkbook all warmed up and ready for ink.

As far as I can tell, you've not just raised the bar for customer experiences, you've set it at a new level that will be really hard to follow by anyone else in the field!

Very Nice Dan!! I remember talking to you just before you sold out your stock and went on your vacation. You mentioned that you wanted to start over and start bigger!!

Well, my friend you've certainly done that. Your aquatic creativity is certainly out of the box and I can see why there would be a big BUzZ. If you were my neck of the woods, I'd be a broke man by now but a happy one. Best wishes on your new venture.

As I said before, be prepared for alot of customers in the upcoming years! Awsome endeavor, and pulled off flawlessly! :)

My god. I moved internationally 2 years ago so I haven't kept any fish in that amount of time. I come to this site once every few months and take a peek. I just want to say that this fish store is what dreams are made of. Well done.

Can I ask a blunt question? The upkeep on keeping a high quality store like the running has got to be off the charts. It's obvious you love the hobby, but did you open this store to make money or because you love it?

Hope to make it to Houston sometime to visit. Your sitting area is very refreshing, I'd love to sit awhile and admire your work. Hi Yim: If you had a BG macaw, than you know full well how powerful those beaks, or facial pliers, are. The only wood that is immune to it is the Manzanita wood, and even those wont stand up to the Hyacinth macaw, othewise known as the Great Blue babies!!!! I have two macaws (real brats). And though Manitanza was mentioned previously... that wood looks like some of the wood being sold at one time (no longer) by another aquarium concern in your neck of the woods. I say that because I've got a bunch in my tank - covered with plants, and even more in my shed, just waiting for a good use. If so, that's some hard to find wood, and you don't have to worry about too many people copying that exact look.

The tank will have lilies going to the top to create shades. The Heckels tend to hide underneath the wood when scared where its dark and shaded. I noticed the jumping out of the tank when i first got them in in the bare bottom tank. After several weeks they were eating out of my hand. All the discus i import in tends to dash. I noticed once acclimated it stops. JMHO
