Well, what do you guys think?
He / she is about 4.25" right now and eats like mad. He has 3 other discus tankmates and they all get along fine now.

what variety is this? looks to me like red spotted turquise ...

I actually picked up two of these guys at the LFS. They had a nice bunch of these and I kept my eye on them for a few weeks to make sure they remained healthy. They were labeled as 'snakeskin', but if anyone actually knows what they are I would love to hear it!

I don't see any snakeskin in the fish. It lacks the really fine patterning in the gills.

It appears to be a red turquoise or maybe one of the early forms of leopards with the large spots. Most leopards you see nowadays have much finer spots, but this looks like the old leopards. It's definitely a red turquoise-based fish. His color looks good.
