What brand makes good heaters, Jabo, Hydor..Rena?

if you are running a canister filter i would get the hydor inline heater

I have always felt Ebo Jaeger heaters set the standards for reliabilty.

I don't use them now because of the cost of buying one for each of many tanks.
I don't have an isolated fish room where it's possible to heat the room instead of my tanks.

I have all Stealth Heaters but they die at about the same rates as Hydor, reg. visi-therms, and even the different Titanium heaters have for me.
Failure rates for me at the end of two years of service of most brands have approached 25%.

Thanks, I decide on a Ebo Jaeger submersible. They are owned by Eheim now.

I find that when heaters are new, and not defective, they tend to be all reliable. With time though, the element gets moist with condensation and don't hold a temperature as well. That is my observation.
