Hi all. It seems that two of my discus have half of their pelvic fins missing! Their dorsal fins are also ragged and frayed. Is this in fact some kind of "fin-rot" and how do I treat this? Thanks in advance.

Just by the little bit of a description you are giving it sounds like it may be a water quality issue. Before treating with chemicals I would perform 50% water changes on a daily basis for 1 week and see if you notice any improvements.

I agree, wc and clean the tank really good and clean sponges/filters. You could also do a pp treat or some quick cure.

PP can be costic. May want to stick with WC and a little slime coat regen. See if the fins grow a little in a week or so.

NO amonia present, nitrates barely measurable, maybe 1ppm. I have 2 discus showing this, the other looking fine. (this fish is the bully of the tank). Now what?

This thread is old, I would suggest you to make your own thread, that way you'll get more feedback (the situation has variables; water quality, tankmates.etc) :inquisitive:
