Stress lines

ARe Stress lines permanent? My Red Melon are showing stress lines when I first got him, now he still have them.

On some varieties they are non existant but on others they are there all the time.On most fish they vary with their mood and condition. It will also vary with their position in the pecking order. The lowest fish in the pecking order will show them more often. Mood bars is probably a better discription but in some cases it is stress. Don T.
