I have a pair of fire red whom without fail spawn once a month.
The pair is roughly 1 year to 1 and a half years old.
the problem is they eat the eggs within two days
at first it was the male so 24 hours after the spawn i would remove him and then she would eat the eggs and if i cover the cone they both leave it alone completely and go to the other end of the tank.
it is close to the time for them to spawn again and well here i am looking for suggestions.
