soap in tank

hi all
i wasnt sure where to post this
my son sprayed soap on my discus tank
the product is called shout
i changing 80% of the water as i type this
should i keep changing alot of water and if so how much and how long to keep this up

I agree with Don. I once did a stupid thing with soap and fish and got away with it through massive dilution. Water change, water change, water change, and then you'll be fine. Let us know how the Discus are doing.

thanks for all the quick replies
i want to do another water change but i dont have any aged water on hand
i changed half my water in my other tank with discus aswell this morning and had enough to change the soapy tank now
so tomorrow morning will be the wc

and carbon will be added also
i will be in touch

If you have Prime or other dechlorinator do a small water change tonight with unaged water. Do a larger WC tomorrow with your aged stuff. Add activated charcoal ASAP.

You should be OK with 10%, probably a bit more.

you wont believe it
a couple had just layed eggs in the soap tank
i guess the water change i did triggered them
and i guess the soap is not bothering them that much
but you know what i never had any wrigglers from that pair anyway
maybe the male is to young but thats for another post later on;-)

just 2 eggs of the batch are white so fingers crossed for the 25th time
