Proper feeding?

What is the proper way to feed, how often and how much? Whenever I siphon the substrate there's always a good amount of waste coming off. Plus I have a bit of an algae prob on my plants. So Im assuming Im feeding too much (which I really didnt think I was) or not feeding them the "right" way.

It depends on the size of discus you have in your tank. If they are adults I would only feed 1-2 times a day. Since it is a planted tank then I would do clean food. You can give them BH on the day that you do a wc. Watch how much food you give them to. Only feed them what they can eat. Throw a little in there and continue to do that until you see them avoiding. Then you know you have feed enough.
