i'm mixing 50% tap and 50% ro/di. using a api test kit. the gh is at 8. and the kh is at 5. is this ok?

just from the tap i'm getting gh 13. kh 8. or will i be ok just using it?

This is fine. Your tap water is probably fine for everything except breeding.
The KH buffers your PH. If you have to low a KH you can get PH crashes. 5KH is fine, crashes occur with KH too low. ( less than 3 I think). Don T.

For keeping discus, your tap would be fine. For breeding, you may want to up your RO % to bring the gH just a bit lower. 3-6 gH is most likely the target range.
