Where are all of you guys getting these big beautiful peices of driftwood? I have some local places in mind but Im afraid of rot. I live in Louisiana and I think cypress should work but I wanted some suggestions. How do I know what wood is safe? Thanks

Terry has an excellent assortment of Malaysian driftwood! I bought 2 extra large pieces from him last month.

Cypress is great, But whatever you do dont get caught cutting one! Even the stumps(cypress knees)! They are highly protected! Im a land surveyor and im forced to flag and save cypress trees all the time! Its a hefty fine. I live on the St. Johns river here in florida i come across nice pieces of driftwood pretty frequently.
