water pump?

hi all
i bought a pump a year ago at a lfs
the pump is made for ponds, max height 6 feet
the brand is "quiet one"
it was a little on the cheap side but worked great
its pumping 50 feet of hose and does the job but now it sometimes wont pump to my tank or its very slow
i tried cleaning it but nothing
so i saw the mag pumps at walmart and other lfs
and thinking i might get one
which/what size should i get

Sump pumps will pump a lot of water at a resonable price. They are rated for a fairly high head of water. Don T.

I bought a sump pump at Lowes for about $70 that has been fantastic.

I agree with Don and Ryan. I've been using an el cheapo type of sump pump for a long time now. The first one lasted 10 years or more, and the one i'm using now is also many years old and still going strong. Here in Oz they are about $150 if you shop around.
