my tank is 40inches long 18 inches high and 12 inches long. how many discus and harlequins can i stock there? i currently have 4 discus,and a bolivian ram and i want 6 discus,10-15 harlequins. is this enough room for all of them?

How big are your discus, adults or frys?
How often do you change your water and how much at a time?
What kind of filtration system do you have, sponge, hang on back, etc?

More information would get you a more accurate answer to your question.

You have enough for 4 discus, unless my calculations are wrong. 37.4 gals. is what I figured.

my discus range from 2.5"-3.0". my filtration is carbon. im only keeping them until they grow to 5.0"-6.0" then im selling.

also i change my water every 2 days. just to make sure i got chlorine out and stabalized my ph to 6.8.
