After reading the ACA 2008 thread, it made me wonder about what exactly is involved with showing a discus or any other fish for that matter?
Obviously you have to fly to the convention/show location, and have some sort of tank setup in the place you are staying, plus some sort of tank setup in the judging area (or is the same setup?)...how do you transport the fish/tanks/equipment?
I bet discus hans could provide some valuable insight on this! ;)
Thanks in advance!

The tanks are set up by the clubs most of the time.
At some shows you've to bring your own tank(s)
We drive to most shows, easier to transport your needs.
Your Discus go into the "judging tanks" and stay there during the whole show.
Some people "train" there Discus for weeks (some months) to get them on best in the tanks, some bring their own water.
We use straight tap water on every show, put some Cloram-X in the tank and drop the Discus in,

At the award dinner they showed the pictures of the winning Discus, only 50% of them showed up at the screen.
They didn't put ribbons on the tanks so it was hard to find out what was what and end were,

I'm a discus guy, but that red top lwanda that won sure is good looking.
