driftwood and Potassium Permanganate dosage

Hello all,:)
I just disinfected 2 big driftwood pieces in a 30 gallon plastic can with PP at over 5ppm. I left them soak for about 17 hours then I deactivated it. Is that enough to make them safe to add to my tank? I would think so, just checking.

Unless...

You have shrimp. They're highly sensitive to PP.
