I was wondering if Ctenopoma acutirostre would make a good tankmate for discus? They are both carnivores, but I really don't know if I should put them together. Any suggestions?

One more thing: there will be ottos and cardinal tetras in the tank...I fear for their lives, will the Ctenopoma eat them??

i did my home work
and cardinals and whatever else that could in its mouth will be an expensive dinner
plus its very territorial and will defenitly stess out your discus
you could try it out in another tank and see what happens
but you know discus

Alan is correct. These Ctenopoma are too predatory to try to keep with small Tetras and are assertive enough to probably be a problem with discus once they begin to mature.
