I am thinking about adding black water extract from tetra. Is this a good priduct and what do you think.

Do not use that.. Its synthetic. Put a piece of malaysian driftwood in your tank. It will leach natural tannins so your water will be a little tea color. Fish love it, their colors look beautiful and its au natural. :9)

I use Black water extract and never had a problem with using it.

When I was in Peru this past summer, many of the collectors and exporters actually use tea in their water.. Yes, they seep 10 or so bags of black tea and ad it to their water. It has the same tannic acids and the leaves.

I use Kent's. But, I would certainly like to know more about this, sorry, not trying to jack your thread.

A nice cup of Earl grey mine seem to like !:D I never use any brought extract's due to the volume of w/c i do would work out to expensive.good old driftwood or peat.

I use Black Water Extract and never had any problems.

I also have the Malaysian Drift wood, but it only tinted the water for a couple of weeks. Now it's crystal clear.

Im with you on this one, I've never used any black water extracts, Like you said it would be way tooooo expensive!.
