Can anyone recommend how to remove hair algae?

by hand, cutting off the affected leaves or excel squirted directly on it with a syringe are some ideas.

siamese algae eaters and some barbs ( I know my odessas and arulis) eat it. Although these fish may not be appropriate for Discus.

I've also read somewhere that high iron can cause hair algae. Might want to check your iron levels.
