Hi all:),
Is there any difference between these 2 types of salt? Is is okay to use pond salt in my discus tank? So far, I have only used aquarium salt but it's getting really expensive, whereas pond salt is cheaper.
Thanks for the help!

Go to Home Depot. Buy 50 pound bag of Rock Salt for $3.69
I rarely use salt anymore unless fish I get had some stress getting here.

Salt I think is used to much.

WC's, filters cleaned, tank walls cleaned is the best line of defense for almost everything.

BTW. I wish i was the one who thought of Aquarium salt. LOL!
Whom ever that was they were a marketing GENIUS!

I buy 40 pound bags from Lowes. The only thing you want to watch for is salt that has addivtives for water softners. I think morton salt is sold at lowes for like 6 dollars US and is sold as pure salt no additives. Ed
