Yosemite trip

Tad and I took another trip to Yosemite on Monday. We hadn't been since RyanH came out to see us. It was a bit hazy due to fires in the area, but we enjoyed it all the same. Here are a few pics... the first one is of the valley with El Capitan and Half Dome; the second is a chipmunk sitting on the rock we came across on our hike; the third is one of the giant redwoods with Tad standing at the base of the trunk. To give an idea of how huge these trees really are, I've also attached a photo from a calendar I have showing the calvary on top of and in front of a fallen giant redwood.

Come in the spring Brian, and we'll go then. It's even more beautiful at that time of year, when the falls are full of water.

Ryan... you need to come back out. Tad and I spent this trip going to the areas of the park we hadn't been to for years... some I hadn't been to since I was little.

Angela... it is a great place to visit. Fortunately, we are less than 100 miles from it, so it makes for great day trips.

Judi, that is always nice to live so close to something so nice and pretty like that. We have a lake we like to take the kids to. Nothing like that but just getting out in the woods like that is always so relaxing.

WOW, Yosemite is half the size of my island(literally)! It seems so breathtaking in those picks!:)

photos hanging up on my walls.
