HELP PLEASE!! with Angelfish?

Can anyone identify what that is? NOTHING on fins only on body.

It appears more grainy in the picture then what it does to the naked eye. It looks more like a film or a powder to me...just thought I would add that.

Do you have anything thats rough in your tank, looks like a surface scrape more than anything else.

No its nothing like that..its clearly on the top of the skin/scales. It looks kinda milk powder like film to the naked eye. The camera just didn't capture the powder/white dust look it has to it.

Then I am a little puzzled by that description, I have bred angels for over 22 years and haven't ran into anything like that before.

I would do a 10 percent water change, take the charcoal out of the filter, and add 1 "Jungle" Fungus Tank Buddie per 10 gallons of tank water treated.
It should clear up in appox. 24 to 36 hours.
I had a similar problem with an Orange Koi after shipping....abbrasions which attract fungus. Cleared him right up!:D
Won't hurt your plants. I have been using Tank Buddies for years on discus, angels, guppies and swordtails. The are fizzie tabs:)

For any diseases on the body i use erythromycin, 250 mg per 10 G.
Very nice and strong antibiotic.

Thanks for the help replies:wave:. I started juv on fungus treatment 48 hours ago and it's starting to clear up. :) So hard distinguishing fungus or bacteria sometimes:undecided:...ughh! My boyfriend bought these specific 2 angels from LFS too..something I personally don't like doing anymore. My other 10 angels came from breeder. Happy fish keeping all!
