i just moved to growing discus. I was deep in the apisto "Business" for the last 6-7 years. I just sold my last A.. Iniridea last week. I got 6 young wild lookalikes from one of the best Israeli discus growers (Shahar Danziger). I am growing them in a 120 liter (30 gallon) tank with quartz sand, 4 wild corries, a piece of drift wood and an amazone sword will be added soon in a pot with peat topped with sand. I plan to grow them in 75-50% RO water that will have the pH of about 5 using filtering through very acidic peat. I feed them Tetra bits and white worms (Echytreus) 2-3 times a day.
Later as they will grow I plan to move them to a 250 -300 liter (65-80 gallon)
Will be happy to get comments on my plan

Good luck. Sounds like a plan although you probably won't be able to keep the 6 discus juvies in the 30 gl. tank for very long. You could skip right to the 60 gl. and just keep the discus in that tank from juvie stage to adulthood.... Keep us updated with pics for our viewing enjoyment.. :9) David T

Wow... in the apisto business for the last 76(seventy six) years. If you started at 14, you must be 90 years old:p:p. Sorry, just thought it was funny.

Well, that was the original plan but had to narrow it down to 6-7 ys.
