I just got rid of all my Vals in my tank, they were just so huge and took over the whole tank. I now have one plant of Anubias, I want to add something else that will not get huge as this tank is a 30 gal. I also have a major snail problem so anything recommended would have to be tough enough so snails will not eat it. Any suggestions??

:D

There are so many plants to choose from.

The choice simple depends on how you want you planted tank to look.

If you like val but don't want it to simply cover your tank.. maybe next time u can go for Corkscrew Val. They don't grow as big & cover your tank.

I personally prefer a mix of plants & some moss.. like java or taiwan moss.

But when it comes to moss it needs some surface to grow...like a backdrop or drift wood..

The best solution for snail problem is snail eating snail Anatoma helenea.
