the big one in the back is an Armalite AR50. a .50 caliber single shot target rifle.

hmm...dont know why I have so many. :) I like building them and collecting them and shooting them. I belong to a shooting club here in MO too.

it's just something to do when I am not at work or chasing fish.

;) Wow Fish Worm, could I borrow a couple? J/K, I only have a 357 magnum pistol, shoot 38's, & belong to a gun club here in Pickwick, Tn...have my carry permit now, so I'm looking for a small pistol that is light, looking at the Taurus with a laser...lol....don't think I could even carry one of those rifles, & they'd definitely be too much for this old lady, lol.......

Dottie ;) Lee, sorry, don't mean to hi jack the thread,

Do not risk your life with a Taurus, stay with higher end companies.

Condor is right. Sig makes an incredibly nice side arm but if weight is an issue you may want to look elsewhere.

I've really liked my Springfield XD40 Subcompact. I have 7 or 8 thousand rounds through it and have never had a problem.

For concealed carry, I'd also look at a small Smith & Wesson .38 revolver. They're easy to use and not as complicated as a semi-automatic. This is a good thing in a high-stress situation. Also, it has a built-in laser. ;)

My wife just got her CHL and this is what she will be carrying.

Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions Dottie. :)

Really do need light to carry Condor, but now you have me intrigued, will look at them also, maybe for at home use..or even to shoot targets at the gun club...

Thanks Ryan, will do that....& I will look (& have) at the small S&W...also the Ladysmith, just wasn't serious then..lol...I had a semi automatic by Wyoming, but didn't like it, & I'm older now, don't need that big gun....I do like my Python 357, just heavy....

Hey Lee, again my apologies for the hijack,....:blushing: (I've never done that before, lol)

My daughter has advised me to get a Mossberg, sawed off, shotgun for defense, but when I tried one, it is just too much for me to use & I bet the wallop to the shoulder would hurt, lol....so I'm stickin' to the python 357, (it also says "colt" on the barrel) kept at the ready.....& also have pepper spray...
