I have a community tank with 8 adult discus, primarily marlboro reds. so far, none have "paired off". what are the initial signs of fish pairing off? what should I be looking for?

2 of them start swimming together away from everyone else eventually they will pic a site in the tank and stay around it or defending it

Not the best reference but here is a video of my pair dancing a little bit. Better in high quality. Sorry there is music, i didn't want just running water background noise. ;)
