changing tank layout

good day everyone

right now i am currently running an amazon setup. corys, tetras, rams, etc

I am now wanting to get rid of it all because i want to turn it into a Discus holding tank. i currently have 5 discus. all juvis. my question is: will they freak out when i take everything out and leave them with a bare tank?

i plan to use the bottom of coke bottles to keep a few plants in. this way the tank will be spotless but still have a touch of greenery.

Hi Bruce...They will for sure freak out if you try and tear it down with them still in it. Remove all the fish...tare it down and clean it well. Make sure there is paper or some sort of background on the bottom outside of the glass. They could take awhile to adjust to it...but the plants will help them feel secure...Good Luck...Bill

:) i did have the intention of taking them out!!! :)

i have syrofoam under my base which will make it impossible for me to cover it with something else
