Question about Discus eye color

I've noticed some of my discus have very clear eyes with red rim, and some have still clear eyes but a darker rim. Is this normal, or are perhaps some of my discus being attacked by something?

It doesn't sound like from your description that anything is wrong with your discus. The redder your discus' eyes are is usually a sign of health and vitality.:D

Thanks for this response. I had just imported some juvies 24 hours ago into my show tank after having them in 6 wk quarantine. Now I'm trying to remember just how many had red eyes before they came over, as now only two have red eyes.

I'll monitor them closely over the next few days, might it have just been an acclimation shift?
