Once a week.

I make a small bag and put it in the filter. I don't use all of them.

I have a planted tank and I use EI regimen ( fertilizer ) and do WC once a week. The purpose of running carbon is to remove the impurities, organic waste etc and start up the tank every week.

I have heard about Purigen but not sure I want to use it because Purigen requires certain decholor product to work best with it and I am not willing to put my tank in risk considering I use AquaTetra Safe for decholor.
