Hi again,

i am asking myself if water i prepare for my discus is goon enought or should i use some other method to get a quality water for my fish? I use RO without peakmoss. Should i heat up the water before i put it in the fish tank?

Something is realy wrong with my fish and i am questioning my water quality ...

Thank you,

I would ask first what your TDS is on your product water? With a good RO system it should be down to 5 or 10 ppm with DI it should be 0 ppm.

When using straight RO water what you are using is water that has been stripped of most minerals and the like. Some of the minerals will need to be replaced in some way (Calcium, Alk, mag,) these need to be added or you will not be able to maintain PH.

When you say heat up your water, if you mean bring the temp up to your normal tank temp when yes, you don't want to add cold water to your tank

Long term you should not use pure RO. The fish need minerals. Most mix some tap water wit the ro for their tanks. I mix 50/50, Some use RO plus addatives you can buy, many use plain tap water with no ro. Don T.
