Growth rate

I bought 3 discus about 4 months ago. They were all about 1 inch in diameter. i feed them 3-6 times a day, blood worms and krill babies (frozen cubes). I always vaccuum the water after eating. ending up with about 10% water change per day with a big change on the weekends. Anyhow, the growth rates of my fish are very different. One has doubled in size, the 2nd has gained about a third and the 3rd has grown a barely noticable amount. Im certain that the biggest is the domonating one. but the 3rd is eating every feeding but just doesn;t seem to grow much.

Do sexes have anything to do with growth?

The biggest and the smallest tend to hang in the same area and the middlle one is the loner.
