I didn't want to continue to hijack Eddie's thread but isn't this a really good price for the AC110? http://www.petguys.com/-015561106200.html
Never mind on the AC110...It's not available through them right now.

What about this one? http://www.petguys.com/-030172015550.html

I'm interested in getting a new filter (see above thread for reason) and don't have enough money to put into a canister even though I would definitely not mind having one. The filter will be for a bare bottom 55 gallon and I haven't yet decided if I was going to add sponge filters or not.

i would go with the AC110, you pay a little more but you get a better filter.

If you are interested in the Cascade 300, I have quite a few of those brand new. PM and I'll give you a great price on it. I suggest modifying it and use a sponge instead of the stock filter

$15 plus actual shipping.

BTW.. dont' ask me if they are any good. I got a bunch of them for my future tanks but went with the AC during the last price mistake fiasco.

Hmmm...I got some thinking to do then.

Hey Van, would I be able to get a sponge from the 110 and cut it to fit the Cascade?

I'm not sure if I'm getting a 55 or 75. Depends on the $$$$$

You will need to cut the sponge down to fit it in the cascade. Most folks like to use the aquaclear because of it's design (allow for a bigger sponge). You don't have to use the aquclear sponge, you can use something from the fluval cannister one. I'll have to see how they fit.

As for tank. I never like the 55 gal but they can be found on Craigslist for cheap (sometimes free). 75 and 90 gals are harder to come by. I just picked up a 90gal last weekend for $50 so they are out there.

Yeah, I'm on Craigslist almost every day for the Chicago listings. The only reason I want a 75 is because it's bigger than the 55 as far as being able to put lighting on top for plants. If I get a 75, I will change the 55 to BB and use the 75 as a "show tank."

As far as the filters are concerned, I will give it some thought but I may take you up on the offer. How many do you have? I may have a friend interested in some because he is going to be setting up sever tanks at a shop so he can breed chiclids.

Oh, one more thing, how wide is the Cascade 300? I may want to use it on the end of the tank as opposed to the back. The AC110 is too wide to fit on the end of a 55 gallon.
