Hi i'm new here and have recently jumped into the discus plunge. I have several larger tanks this being my smallest. All my other tanks are bare-bottom and i'm currently in the process of making this one bb also. Thanks for viewing....

Nice tank, what you got in it? From the looks of it, about a hundred clown loaches! Thanks for sharing

Its has 35 clown loaches from 2-4" that i'm growing out for other much larger tanks, 5 discus, 20 cardinal tetras, 15 rummy nose tetras, 3 corydora and 2 gold nugget pleco's. Filtration is (2) Filstar XP3's, (2)Emperor 400's, (2)AC350 Powerheads. Doing 40% daily waterchanges.

Yes, that is the most amount of filtration I've seen on a single tank, ever!

The only thing I don't like is that the tank is a bowfront and to me it distorts the full size of the discus but other than that it is a great looking tank. I just don't like a bowfront for discus. sorry.

You should see the filtration on my 180, I tend to load my tanks with a lot of stock so lots of filtration is a must.

All my other tanks are standard rectangular tanks and I must say I don't see any noticeable difference in size distortion. Glass tanks seem to do that in general, bowfront tanks just seem to have a more elegant look to them.

Very nice tank,
I feel the clowns will be a problem for the discus especially in those numbers.

cheers

They are fake and called Fancy Plants. You can get them at PETSMART.

The loaches are temporary, in fact about 25 of the 35 are about up to size to move on to a larger 180g tank. The discus are still very young and getting full belly's during each feeding and there are no aggression issues either. A very active and peaceful community at the moment.
