So I woke up this morning to feed the fish and to my surprise they had laid eggs on an Anubus.

The male I believe is a Red Marlbro and the female is an Electric Dream. They are in the 75 Gallon now with all the other fish. I doubt they will make it. So I'm in the process of setting up two 29 gallons for the next time around.

This is my first time having a discus pair. So I'm hopeing I can do this right.

Update:

They hatched and are wigglers but they keep getting picked off by the rams. So the next batch hopefully will be in the 29 gallon I'm in the process of setting up.

Nice looking fish. Should be intresting to see what the offspring look like. I really like that natural look with the pair spawning on one of the plants. Ed

you should try sectioning them off from the rest of the tank to see if the little ones will make it. high hopes i know but it's worth a shot IMO

Updated!

I thought they were all gone but both parents were still guarding the corner and it seem they moved them just a bit above the plants.

The male keeps fighting the rams away. While the mom is shielding them away from them as well.

More survived then I thought.

Well that's cool. Already have good parents on the first try. Gotta love that...
