Most domestic discus are "prettier" than wilds. Wilds require more care.
( sometimes they will only eat live food and need softer water with lower ph)
If you search the web you should find many discus picktures both domestic and wild. Some of the sponsers also have photo's of wilds. Don T.

When I was younger (1960's) the browns were the only ones that were redily available in tank raised fish and not real expensive. ( $25 if I recall correctly) The blue's and green's were almost always wild caught and expensive. The blues and greens are probably more colorfull than the browns but there are many varations depending on the area they were caught. Have Fun. Don T.

Imo wilds look much better as domesticated. Here a link to a German site with some gorgeous wild discus.

I guess the majority would agree that domestics are prettier .... but I'm in the minority & think that wilds are prettiest. I have blues & browns & just got some greens. I can't say which is prettier, as IMO they each are pretty in their own way. Probably depends on the particular wild you're looking. If the site that Dutch dude doesn't show you what you want to see, I can post pictures of mine if you like, but most likely that link will give you a very good idea.

Hope you enjoy whichever you choose.

There are lots better examples than mine. Check out other SD posts in the wild section. Some are absolutely stunning.
