Hagen aquaclear filter

I added a 110 gallon hagen aquaclear filter to my tank today, and I noticed that it hangs funny on the back of my tank. It seems to tip backwards or forwards and not stay level. My other filters have a piece that pushes against the back wall of the tank from behind to keep it level. I don't know if that explanation makes sense. If anyone can make sense of any of this, I was wondering if other people have had similar problems with the hagen filters or if anyone has any advice.

Right now i rolled up a wash cloth and stuffed it between the back of the tank and the filter to try to keep it spaced out and level. I don't know if I want that to be my permanent solution.

there is normaly a little black piece of plactic on the bottom of the filter you turn out to make it sit straight. It is on the out side bottom.

Thanks for answering me. I have looked all over this particular filter and I do not see anything like that. My other filters have what you are refering to, but not on this one.

look in the box it comes off real easy.. If its new take it back.

Hmmm... Interesting that you say that. I bought a smaller version of the aquaclear filter, and a piece was broken off of the impeller. I brought it back and my local store owner went in the back and grabbed this filter for me a week or two used. And said if I didn't mind it being slightly used he would just give me the 110 gallon for free even though it was about 50 dollars more expensive than the filter I bought. Perhaps it is missing that piece. Maybe with the deal I got I should just be happy with my makeshift towel behind it.
