Im just trying to get back into it. I bread Discus back in the UK a few years back and trying to get back into it. I have just move to Traverse City just under a year ago from San Fran CA. I have to say there are no good fish stores up here that i have found and i refuse to buy anything from Petsmart so any ideas and suggestions would be welcome.

WELL, assuming you dont want to make the commute down state to pick up this group, you could order on line. There is a great breeder/distributor of discus in Farmington Hills, Mi. His name is Cary Strong, he is a sponsor here on Simply also. Cary is w/ Great Lakes Discus/Choice Aquarium. Cary ships all over. Ive known him for several years and he is a wealth of knowledge and support also an all around good guy. You might check out what he has available ? :D:D:D:D

As far as fish stores in michigan go, there are a couple good ones. Pruess Pets in lansing is a nice large store, with a lot to offer. Headfish Tropicals in mount pleasant is a really great store. Great, helpful staff that really cares about what they are doing. They are a freshwater only store, so their freshwater gets a lot of attention. Healthy good looking fish. I recomend if anyone is close, to check it out. Might be a hike for all of you, just thought I would recomend it.
