ill be setting up an 80gallon show tank in my living room but i really have no idea about how to go about things. I would love to setup an all wild biotop
but the only sponsors in canada do not have anything but browns. So im just wondering if anyone can throw ideas out there as to how to go about setting one up and also type/strains of fish that make a showtank worth showing

Ummm... browns would make for a good biotope since that's one of the wild varieties.
Also have you checked with April - she has some non-brown discus:

walter, is that manzanita wood? i read on another thread about it growing some white matter on the branches, did this happen with your manzanita? i'm assuming it is btw :D. looks awesome with the elevated lights

Yes some of the manzanita wood produce some white stuff (It is Fungus). That is why it is recommended to presoack it in a well aerated bucked for week before putting in aquarium. The other way is boiling the wood.

Try popposfish.com he is shipping to Canada he has great prices and will have some wilds in the beginning of march
