I just have to start by saying that Heiko made me feel very guilty for not having white sand..... :D

So I spent a few hours yesterday, and changed out my gravel to white sand. I also added some more plants, just because I like them.

So heiko, and all, here is a before

I much prefer the lighter substrate BTW. Fish are getting used to it, but seem to be with the program

can you please post another pic of the redo? I too spent several hrs. changing to sand yesterday. I think the fish look a bit different.

I turned my lights off already. They seem to be brighter, and certainly a little happier - they fa the bottom and snap up the worms as they float up.

Clever.....

I will take a pic tomorrow

Looks very nice! Thats alot of sand though, gotta move it around well to not have any dead pockets.

The fish look amazing in there.

The sand is actually a little sloped up right at the front. Its about an inch deep, and under it is the flourite. I am adding co2 tomorrow, and will start on the ferts. I will keep you all updated
