Anyone has Blue Sapphire Discus (created by Martin Ng) at home....would like to see some pictures of them.....BS are more metallic than Blue Diamond discus.

Some random shots of my Blue Sapphire

Nice fish as always, Eric. Do you expect to have fry available soon? I like the BS over the BD in part because the BS don't turn dark when the tank background is dark. IMO BS are a much more vivid blue! You don't see many in the states. Since I'v had BS, I'll never buy a BD again.

My big BD is definitely the original Blue Diamond...he tends to be a light bluish, almost greenish at times when the sun reflects off the window into his tank. My two juvie BDs that I picked up from Al look just like the big boy BD...also greensih blue. BUT...my recent One single 4.5 inches grade A BD purchase from Kenny/Forrest this past winter (and he is now over 5 inches).. is definitely a deeper, metallic true blue sheen fish. I think Kenny's grade A BD might be partly, or at least closer to the Blue Sapphire. My fish from Kenny is so much bluer and shinnier (a word?) than the other BD that I have.

Martha...when you have babies from your pair, you know you better let me know!!!!!;))))

Also, I know Al also has a BD type known as "Blue Angels" that just look awsome!!! Is that also a superior strain? mike
