Ok so i got a fluval m300 300w heater from my lfs. After cranking to 31C and waiting 2 days it would not heat up past 24c.
I stessed about this for a while. luckily no discus were in the tank. I was trying to think of why this massive and expensive heater was sucking so hard. Giving my self time to analyze the problem, I proceeded to my bench grabbed some pliers and ripped the top off. Well actually just temp dial. but after some screwing arround, my assumptions were proven correct. Bloody fluval had the temp dial misplaced on the nubbit(if that makes sense).
I read a lot of forums searching for the answer. No one had done this! So I thought I would add my exp.
