Questions about my pairing Blue Diamonds

These are my first BD's.
I have 2 fish about a year old. I have had them in a group of 6 fish and from about 4 months old these 2 have shown pairing activity.

About 1 month ago I put them in a 30 gal BB breeding tank.
Today the smaller of the 2 which I suspected was the female laid eggs on the glass. The larger fish, which i hope to be a male was with her and would eat the eggs as she dropped them. Then he would do a run over the area like you would suspect the male to do.
I have read BD males are slow to develop/mature.
What is the best action to take here, I suspect nothing but wait for them to get it right?

Also at what age do males become mature enough to fertilize?

it's a waiting game for sure. they will get it right eventually
