is a o.5 swing in pH between water changes too much?

in my 55QT tank, my pH regularly swings by 0.5 points between 6.7 and 7.2. is this too much?

No...That should not be an issue at all....I would prefer to see it under 7.0 just in case your tap water has some ammonia. My tap has chlorine/chlorimine and a small amount of ammonia so I like to make sure that the PH is under 7.0 when I do 75% water changes.

Also it depends on how old your fish are. If fry less than 3 weeks then yes it could be a problem but if older than 3 weeks then you will be fine.

For me about .5 is the max

I agree with Dan and I would be more concerned about a drop in PH than a rise.
