Nice!!!

That CO2 does the trick every time!

Yes actually went without the first three weeks, but after installing palnts grew like creazy.

had some difficulty's maintaining the 6.8PH though with the standard JBL Cyclone, so made my own. Tomorrow wil post some pics of build.

Used MDF and veneerd it with American Cherry.

fourth picture is of initial setup with large piece of wood, but with my single MH I was not able to supply all my plants of sufficient light.

Thanx gotfish!
Got both my fixture and my bulb at www.aquariaveldhuis.nl it's a dutch site.

I actually ordered a Giessemann Megachroma Tropic, still waiting though.

I want to add 2 T5 HO fixtures, on the front and back :)

Nice tank! How long did it take your java moss to attach to the driftwood?

Looking at your moss, I can see I really need to trim mine! :p

Bought my fixture on the web, I ordered my bulb at a website of a dutch fishstore. I actually ordered a Giessemann megachrome tropic but they messed it up, still waiting on the giesseman though.

I am planning on adding two T5 HO bulbs front and back, front for colour of fish an back for plants.

thanx!

Well... at the picture the moss was in the tank 3 hours :)
I ordered the moss on the internet and they delivered a complete mat of moss.

I wrapped it around the wood an tied it down with really thin fishingline (0.06mm) barely visible with the naked eye, pain in the *** to tie down hahah

endresult is pretty nice. Moss is really pearling o2 in the late afternoon!

Very nice!
I like the width and height proportions. So much easier to aquascape. Great job:D

Hallo Wouter,

Welkom op Simply Discus en leuk om hier nog een Nederlander te zien. :)

Welcome at SD. I like your tank very much and you did a great job on the aqua scape and also on building your own stand. I bought 3 tanks at Velthuis my selves and also build stands and hoods for it. I'm also a big fan of Echinodorus,...realy wonderful plants and not to dificult. Dough I found them hard to grow at the high temps and lots of large water changes.

Maybe you can tell us more abouth the discus / stock list as well. I see you have some youngsters in there. How do you keep the tank and plants clean with the heavy feedings for the youngsters?

That looks very much like the 'Dutch' style. :) Very different from the Japanese/ Asian style of aquascaping, but looks very nice.

Walter,.....it is Dutch style aquascaping and easy to detect on the structure. Dutch style uses clusters of plants and several clusters will have a diferent color or a diferent plant structure. Besides that Wouter is from Holland so it is always a Dutch aquascape :D

Thank you all for the compilments!!

I really like the clusters of plants, though i am a big fan of the japanese style.

I try'd the japanese style but i always end up with the ol' dutchy :)

I am currently building a tank of plywood. size 135x70x75cm (sorry for the metric system) 700 liters

Will keep you updated
