Wanting to know if there is any difference in using the Aqua Clear Carbon bags in a Fluval 305 or do you have to use the Fluval carbon only in these filters??

You don't have to use carbon, but if you do you can use any brand. Make sure to put it in a filter bag though.

I have always used carbon in my 20+ years in this hobby. Guess old habits are hard to break...;)

I understand Debbie but there are better types of media than carbon. I used carbon in my filters long ago too. There used to be this huge contraversy over carbon and HITH disease in discus but it is nothing that is scientifically proved. Read about it many many years ago so I understand about habits being hard to break. ;)
