this is an e.g. of one of my female WB with streamers.
and it is about 6 inches, big for a female.
just to illustrate that streamers may not be pathonomonic of males.
comments welcome.
thnks for viewing.

Nice!

Are you sure it's a female? If so, is she fertile? Big with streamers typically indicates a male OR there have has been hormone supplementation. Great looking fish though!

Best wishes!

Nice looking WB. I too have a female with streamers, a Blue PB from Hans. I know she's definitely female since she started laying eggs on day 3 in QT a few years ago when I purchased her. She is also about 6 inches.

The fish in my avatar (a female violet reflection) has the longest streamers of any of my discus?

Very long tips on the dorsal and anal fin. Like a long streamer. ;)

I can't open the link at work but check out the third picture, there is an arrow pointing to the streamer on the end of the soft dorsal.

yes, this one 100% female as lay eggs again and again till the smaller male "died".
so now she is alone as i do not have a suitable male for her cos of the size.

in the event of not able to find a suitable WB male, any suggestions as to what is most suitable for her to get a pleasant offsprings?

yes francis , got ur pm, thanks.
no the female is not from rajan. this one from one lfs , when the wb was popular then (1 yr ago).

Pair her up with a cobalt from Dan at Gulfcoast. That's what I would do. Check him out.

You would have less of the orange tinge in the body and have a solid blue/white solid body. Right now I'm only able to get 20%WB and the rest are all PB or Maze PB. My desire is to have a solid WB. I end up just giving the rest of the fry to my friends to grow out if they even look like PB. I'd do the cross as that's what I'm doing right now. Or at least think so...
