View Full Version : How many BN Pleco in 90g ?

Hello all just wondering how many would be an ideal for this size of tank ?

i've kept 5 in my 125 with no problems, 2 or 3 should be fine for a 90 IMO. i see no problem with doing more though as long as you feed them properly

If you just want them to clean then 2 can do the job.

cool thanks guys hehe well i just got 10 Dwarf Goldspot Plecos with the albino Gene. I should be ok right hehe ...

As a rule of thumb you can keep 1 BN pleco per 20 gallons. I'd say you can keep 5 in the tank if it's planted. Right now in my 100g tank I have 10 or more BN plecos and they are getting along just fine. Some of them are going to be rehomed as breeders soon and I realize it's just a temporary thing to have that many in there.

Where did you get your Goldspot dwarf Plecos from? I have never seen those before and would love to have a few for me tank.

The pleco is from a local Breeder here in Toronto Canada :( Anyways if your really interested in getting some i will try and get some pics up and give you his contact info.

I keep one BN in my 90. He does a good job in there.
